Stations in the South

This is a personal project to visit and photograph all the train and metro stations in the province of Málaga. A few stations in other parts of southern Spain are also included.

Málaga to Sevilla

This is the traditional route from Málaga to Sevilla, covered by Media Distancia services. It is longer the quickest way to travel between the two cities. The high speed Avant services follow a much longer route but still get there faster.

Málaga to Granada

Direct trains between these neighbouring provincial capitals are a surprisingly recent development. High speed Avant services started on this route in 2023.

Antequera Santa Ana to Algeciras

This is a scenic route through the mountains around Ronda down to the port of Algeciras.

Málaga Cercanías Line C-1

This line connects the centre of Málaga to the western Costa del Sol.

Málaga to Córdoba

This route connects Málaga with the historic city of Córdoba, known for its stunning architecture and cultural heritage.

Málaga Cercanías Line C-2

This line winds through the lower Guadalhorce valley, sharing the first part of the Málaga to Sevilla route.
